Original Olive Tree

Olive trees are registered as Kagawa's prefectural flower/tree. The prefecture still has the oldest olive tree, which took root originally in the area. Its little white flowers are in bloom at the end of May. Harvesting season starts at the end of September, which involves manual picking of each yellow-green fruit. Shodoshima Olive Garden has approximately 2000 olive trees in the space of 3 hectors. It also has Southern European plants such as jasmine and mimosa, which make the place perfect spot for a stroll.
